5 Ways to Save Money at Target

Target is my favorite stores to shop.  There are so many ways to save there and has tbe best clearance to choose from. Here are the five best ways I think to save money at Target

1. Coupon Stacking
Target allows coupon stacking- one of the best ways to save.  You can take a manufacturer’s coupon a Target coupon (that you print here) and use them BOTH on ONE item.  Additionally if there is also a discount on Target Cartwheel you can use all three!

2. Shop the End Caps
The end of select aisles at Target have big red signs on the top that say CLEARANCE.  You can find some amazing deals there. Get in the habit of walking the outer perimeter of the store, and you may just find a great deal.

3.Take Advantage of Holiday Clearance
Shopping the after-holiday sales at Target can lead to big savings, especially when you know when to shop. The mark down schedule will vary from store to store.  Obviously the longer you wait the better the percentage BUT there is also less to choose from.  So if you are good with an extra 30% off head to the store the day after a holiday and stock up!  Otherwise you can wait and see how it comes down then to 50%, 75% and then 90% off to se what you can find!

4.Use Target Cartwheel
Cartwheel is Target’s social coupon program- to get the most coupons available connect it with your facebook page. Log in, choose the coupons you want and then have the cashier scan your personal barcode at the register to deduct your savings. Get the app to store your barcode on your phone, or print out a paper copy, and carry it with you.  Make sure and have the cashier scan it LAST after your paper coupons.  The registers don’t really like it out of that order.
  • Each deal can be used up to four times. So, if you buy four boxes of eligible cereal, your Cartwheel discount will be applied to each box
  • Cartwheel coupons can be stacked with Target coupons AND manufacturer coupons.  So you can use up to 3 coupons on one item!
5. Get a Red Card Debit Card
I LOVE having a  Target Red Card DEBIT card.  It gives me 5% off everything I buy at Target and FREE shipping on everything I buy on their website.  Please note this is not their CREDIT card.  It’s a debit card- it comes out of my checking account just like I used my debit card from the bank.
