Frugal Tricks: How To Use Ice Cubes To Remove Furniture Dents From Carpet

How To Use Ice Cubes To Remove Furniture Dents From Carpet

Whether it’s rearranging your furniture or doing a spring clean, when you start to move your furniture you might notice dents left in the carpet. These dents can stick around for a long time and can be rather annoying, especially if you want the carpet to look nice! Luckily, there is a quick fix to this problem and it won’t cost you a cent!

  1. Start by rearranging your furniture and identifying the carpet dents you want to remove. Place one ice cube per dent, if you notice the dent long or wide add more ice accordingly.
  2. Next, let the ice cubes melt into your carpet.
  3. As they melt the carpet will start to fluff back up and slowly the dents will start to disappear.

It’s that simple to get rid of those annoying dents! If you notice there is water leftover on the carpet, dab with a dry cloth to remove the excess.
